2025 彼岸的召喚 The Summoning From Beyond 紙、石粉黏土、壓克力、油性鉛蠟筆 45 × 45 × 120 cm Paper, stone powder clay, acrylic, oil-based wax crayons 45 × 45 × 120 cm 作品從 Kasavakan 對死亡與道別的儀式經驗出發,思考生命離去之後,人與祖靈、土地及非人世界之間仍持續存在的關係。 --- Drawing from Kasavakan ritual experiences of death and farewell, this work reflects on the relationships that continue between humans, ancestral spirits, the land, and the non-human world after life has departed. Flowing from the mountains through the community and towards the sea, the river becomes a passage between this world and the beyond. The sculpture hovers between boat, cocoon, beast, and unknown being—a body awaiting passage and transformation. Neither human nor divine, it exists as a transitional presence between life and death, materiality and spirit. The “cocoon” suggests the emergence of another form after death, while the “boat” carries the ideas of departure, crossing, and arrival. Through a future-oriented mythic language, the work reimagines tradition by asking what forms of life might emerge if ancient cosmologies continued to grow into the future. The beyond is not only a destination for the dead. Death is not the end of a relationship, but the beginning of another form of connection.
